John F. Moran
Along with his daughter, Jennifer, John Moran joined Bartholomew & Company in June 2020.
John comes to the firm with over 38 years of investment experience, having started his career in 1981 with A.G. Edwards in Worcester. From there, John moved to E.F. Hutton, where he was an assistant branch manager. Between E.F. Hutton and his most recent six years at Ameriprise Financial, John owned his own firm as an independent financial advisor. "Those were the best years of my financial career,” John attests. The ability to offer objective and independent financial advice was what drew him to Bartholomew & Company. "I am thrilled to be back at a truly independent financial advisory firm," John says.
Like many successful financial advisors, John started out as an educator. After graduating from Utah State, John received his master's of education from UMass Boston. He also achieved a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies from Boston University. John's many years as both a teacher and coach in the Boston public schools as well as Natick public schools helped him build the skills necessary to guide clients through their financial journey.
It was during these early years that John developed his passion for public service, one that he still has today. Over the years, John has held several positions in local and municipal governments, including a term as chairman of the Natick Board of Selectman. He has been involved with, among others, MetroWest Growth Management Committee, Natick Service Council, Kiwanis, Rotary and has been a coach for Natick Little League baseball and Pop Warner football.
John has many hobbies and interests, which include traveling with family, swimming, bicycling, and fishing. He is involved in community environment projects and currently serves as vice president of Keep Natick Beautiful.
