Michelle Newcomb serves as Managing Director, Governments & Institutions and Investment Advisor at Bartholomew & Company. Since joining the firm in 2011, she has played a key role in supporting public-sector clients, helping ensure their fiduciary obligations are met through thoughtful guidance, disciplined investment oversight, and a deep understanding of municipal finance.

Michelle brings extensive experience working with local governments, developed during her time at Rockland Trust Company. As a municipal banking officer and assistant vice president, she partnered with more than 150 municipalities, building strong relationships and delivering solutions tailored to the unique needs of public entities. Earlier in her career, she supported shareholder relations as assistant to the CFO, strengthening her foundation in financial operations and communication.

At Bartholomew & Company, Michelle advises government and institutional clients with a focus on clarity, compliance, and long-term stewardship. Her client-first approach reflects a commitment to helping municipalities navigate complex financial decisions with confidence.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Massachusetts Collectors and Treasurers Association (MCTA), Plymouth County Collector/Treasurer Association, Norfolk County Municipal Finance Officers Association, and Bristol County Collector/Treasurer Association. Michelle holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 registrations as a Registered Representative and Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network® and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, reflecting formal training in fiduciary responsibility.

Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University.
