Grounded in Relationships, Driven by Purpose

Thomas J. Bartholomew is the Founder and Chairman of Bartholomew & Company, where he continues to serve as a Senior Wealth Advisor, providing strategic guidance to clients and supporting the firm’s long-term vision. After founding the firm in 1994, Tom led its growth as President and CEO, establishing a disciplined, relationship-driven approach to wealth management that remains central to the firm today.

With more than four decades of experience in investment management, banking, and financial advisory services, Tom brings deep institutional knowledge to his role. He works closely with clients, colleagues, and firm management to uphold the firm’s fiduciary standards and help ensure continuity across generations of advisors and clients.

Prior to founding the firm, Tom held several senior positions in the financial services industry. He served as Senior Vice President and Partner of A.F. Best Securities and previously held key roles at Worcester County National Bank and Shawmut Bank, where he managed municipal banking operations and helped build regional fixed income advisory and underwriting capabilities. Earlier in his career, he was a licensed insurance and securities representative with New England Mutual Life Insurance Company.

Over the course of his career, Tom has received numerous industry awards and recognitions, which are highlighted on the firm’s About Us page. He has also been recognized within his broker/dealer community, including being named a Commonwealth Financial Network® Chairman’s Level advisor (based on annual production and limited to a small percentage of affiliated advisors) and a recipient of Commonwealth’s Special Service Award, which recognizes contributions to the advisor community. These recognitions are based on criteria established by Commonwealth and are not indicative of investment performance or client experience.

He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 51, 63, and 65 registrations through Commonwealth Financial Network and has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation, reflecting formal training in fiduciary responsibility. Tom completed his studies at Assumption College, Williams College, and the Rutgers University Stonier Graduate School of Banking.

Tom remains active in the community and currently serves as Chair of the Investment Committee and as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee of the Greater Worcester Community Foundation Board of Directors; he is also a past Chair of the Board. He is a Corporator of the Worcester Art Museum and the EcoTarium science and nature museum. He and his wife, Lyn, reside in West Boylston, Massachusetts.
